The basics
What is Moonlight Princess?
Moonlight Princess is an anime-themed video slot from Pragmatic Play. It has a 6×5 grid where symbols pay anywhere, tumbling wins, multiplier hearts worth 2x to 500x and a free spins round with a total multiplier that only grows.
Who makes Moonlight Princess?
Pragmatic Play, one of the biggest slot studios in the world. It also makes Starlight Princess, Gates of Olympus, Sweet Bonanza and Sugar Rush.
When was it released?
Stake added it on 19 October 2026 and lists it under Only on Stake and New Releases.
Is it the same as Starlight Princess?
The core rules match Starlight Princess: the same 6×5 pay-anywhere grid, 2x–500x winged multiplier hearts, 15 free spins and a 5,000x cap. The setting is new, a moonlit castle at night, and Stake runs it at 98.00% RTP.
Gameplay
How do wins work without paylines?
Symbols pay anywhere on the screen. You need at least 8 of the same symbol anywhere on the 6×5 grid. 8–9, 10–11 and 12 or more symbols pay three different amounts.
What is the tumble feature?
After every win, the winning symbols disappear and new ones fall in from above. Tumbles continue until no new win appears, and there's no limit to how many can happen in one spin.
How do the multiplier hearts work?
Winged hearts can land on any reel in the base game and in free spins. Each takes a random value of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x or 500x. When the tumbles end, all multipliers on screen are added together and the spin's total win is multiplied by that sum.
What does the scatter pay?
The princess scatter pays on its own: 3x your bet for 4, 5x for 5 and 100x for 6. Four or more also start the free spins.
Free spins and buys
How do I trigger the free spins?
Land 4 or more princess scatters anywhere on the grid. You get 15 free spins, and 3 or more scatters during the round add 5 more.
How does the total multiplier work in free spins?
Every multiplier heart that lands on a winning spin adds its value to a total multiplier that lasts for the whole round. The total is used on spins where a new heart lands and the spin wins. Winning spins without a new heart are paid without it. In our demo round a 2x and a 5x made 7x, and a later 2x raised it to 9x.
What is the ante bet?
The Double Chance to Win feature costs 25% more per spin, 1.25x your base bet. It puts more scatters on the reels and doubles the chance of triggering free spins naturally, but it disables the bonus buy.
Can I buy the free spins?
Yes. Buy Free Spins costs 100x your base bet and starts the round straight away. The game lists the same 98.00% RTP for the buy.
RTP and winnings
What is the RTP of Moonlight Princess?
98.00% at Stake, in the base game, with the ante bet and with the bonus buy. Stake files the game under Enhanced RTP.
What is the maximum win?
5,000x your bet. If a round reaches 5,000x, it ends at once and any remaining features are forfeited.
Is Moonlight Princess high volatility?
The game's own rules rate it medium volatility: wins come fairly steadily, and the range runs from low to very high.
Playing the game
Where can I play Moonlight Princess?
At launch it's listed as Only on Stake. Stake doesn't accept players from every country, so check that yours is allowed.

Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Pragmatic Play builds its slots in HTML5, so the game runs in mobile browsers on iOS and Android. There's no separate app.
What are the minimum and maximum bets?
The in-game rules list $0.20 to $300 per spin.
